The main purpose of Aikido is to develop both the body and the mind. Practice helps to develop self-confidence, reducing stress, and keeping balance in every aspect of life. The training is progressive and cooperative, so anyone can practice regardless of age, sex, or physical ability.
Classes are conducted in a dynamic and friendly way, using English and Japanese as main instruction languages.
Each class includes a short 10-minute warm-up, followed by rolls and falls (ukemi), basic techniques (kihon), and then moving on to more flowing techniques. Empty-handed techniques are practiced, in addition to weapons techniques using the wooden sword (bokuto), the staff (jo), or the wooden knife (tanto).
There is no gender or level distinction made during class, and everyone is expected to practice cooperatively at a pace that is the most adapted to the degree of competence of the junior student.
Registrations are possible at any time throughout the year. There will always be an instructor to guide your first steps as a beginner.
The membership fee is a one time payment made during registration.
¥10,000
Class fees are paid ahead of practice. The 4-class option is not a montlhy fee so in case of absence, the missed class will not be charged.
Insurance is compulsory for all members, regardless of whether they are covered for other sports activities. The fee is paid yearly and covers from March to March.
